Router AVM Default Login - Username, Password and IP Address

Login process of AVM router

To open the admin panel of the router, your device needs to be connected to the Internet first.

Note: Use an Ethernet cable connection with your computer, so that any power failure does not close the link.

Now follow the below steps to access the AVM router.

1. Open a web browser (Whichever is available) and State the IP 192.168.178.1 in the address bar and click Enter key.

The default IP for an AVM router is 192.168.178.1.

2. Specify the Username and Password in the login user interface opened that is set by you previously or use the default username and password as admin to login.
3. The web page of the control panel is where you will be routed for your router with all the default settings stored.

You can amend the changes in the settings keeping in mind to note down all the previously stored values with you safely first.

AVM router troubleshooting

If the router services are interrupted due to the changes that you made in the settings, then you can resume your services by simply resetting the router. You need to press and hold the reset button at the router’s backside for approximately 30 seconds. This will get the router back to the original factory mode.

Doing this might terminate the connection link as well sometimes. Hence you must be handy with the default setting values well in advance to revert them if needed. Hence, reset should be our last solution.

Sometimes, we may forget the correct combination of login credentials or IP address to reach the router. Details to which can be well located on the router base or backside printed.
