How to access Compal router

Compal Broadband Networks is developed to offer efficient networking, home security, and wireless needs of any user. Services to your router can be accessed with the IP address and a Username/Password blend. Every user can load these data through the user manual or take the help of the below quick guide.

Login steps of the Compal Broadband Networks router

To make your router’s network secure or to modify the default configurations, you need to log in to the control panel. Follow the below steps to log in.

  1. Connect the router with your Pc either using a Wi-Fi or cabled setup. A wired bond is preferred so that your router does not lose the connection in between.
  2. Access the sign-in page using a web browser and stating the default IP in the address bar.
  3. At the sign-in page, use the previously set values of username and password.

Use the default login credentials stated below for a first time login to the control setup page.

Username: admin

Password: admin, printed on the sticker with the router

  1. This will open the router's control panel with all the settings saved.

Note: Modify the security settings according to the need but also take a note of all the formerly set values somewhere with you before making any changes.

What to do if your router stops working after changing configuration

If unintentionally you fail to recall your login credentials, then the router may not function efficiently. To resume a proper router functioning you will have to reset it.

Spot the reset button on the router’s base and press the same for 20-30 seconds approximately. This will set the changed settings with the factory default values.

Note: Resetting must be the final resolution. However, if you can log in to the control panel, then revert the settings with the previously noted values for any kind of router issues.

Get connected

If you want to enhance the router’s network security, then you must be able to get into the setup section of it which requires a valid set of IPP and username/password combinations. Check the tag at the router’s back for these details. If not found, then use the router name and model to find the correct one.

Your router is specified with a default login username and password because of which it might be at a high risk of hacking or trespassing. Make sure you change them periodically.
