How to access Edimax router
A device that binds computing devices together with a network is what we call a router. For every user to get connected to a network of your Edimax router, the web interface of the admin console has to be accessed for which an IP and a Username/Password is a must. Every router is offered with such data to every user and if not you can contact the manufacturer for them.
Login process to access Edimax router
Follow the below instructions to gain access to the control panel of your Edimax router.
Step 1: Establish a wired or wireless bond of your computer/laptop with the router. We suggest having a wired bond so that the connection stays stable for a longer time.
Step 2: Now use a web browser (Chrome or Firefox) and type http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar to navigate to the Sign-in user interface. You can also try some other IPs listed below.
Step 3: you must be guided to the Sig-in page for your Edimax router with two blank fields. Specify the default username and password from a list given below. However, if they have been changed by you before, then provide the one with you.
Username: admin, 1234
Password: 1234, admin
Step 4: This will grant you access to the router’s control panel with all the default settings saved. Please make a note all of them with you somewhere safe for future use.
What to do if your router stops working after changing configuration
Cannot access the router still
Even after trying all that is stated above login access into the router is not granted, then you may have used some incorrect login credentials. You can reset the router with the default user passkey after which using the default username and password will provide access to the admin setup.
However, if this still does not work for you, then get a phone call connected to the manufacturer with all your router specifications for support.
The web interface of your Edimax router can be reached with a valid IP address. When the above-stated default IP does not work, then you can find the acceptable one in the user manual received or even printed on the router’s base. The last option could be to contact the manufacturer for it providing the router specifications.
Since all the data in/out processing is handled by your router, its network must be well secured. You can check the manual or this short guide on how to amend the security settings and seek expert advice.
